Hello September!

And you all know what September means! Exactly, it means the start of the Christmas season. And the first thing that comes into mind..shopping!

So,I compiled several tips on how you can save time, effort and money this coming holiday. ( random)

  • Start early  (ding! ding! ding!)
  • Make a list. It has been my habit for the past years where i categorize/group my shopping list. (classmates/godchildren/family/friends (diff groups)
  • Shop online. Refer to Ebay,Amazon, and even Instagram. Check for special offers like free gift wrapping or combined shipping.
  • Compare prices. Wheather its online or on physical stores, always check and wait.
  • Set a budget.
  • Check bazaar schedules. (Wear comfy clothes, belt bags for security and your eco bag)
  • Be creative. Try to create personalized wrappers, gift tags and boxes.
  • Send your gifts early. Set a schedule with your courier/messengers. Set a schedule. If you are meeting up with a group of friends, maybe its wise to take them with you. Im pretty sure they’ll wait for Christmas to open their gifts. Or at least you’re ahead for possible duplicate gifts.
  • Save your list for next year’ reference.

Goodluck and Happy Shopping!

Here Comes the Sun…

 And I hope she stays..

It’s been 4 days, 4 good days because my precious grandson is in the house. It may be raining hard but he sure does lighten up our days!

So i am declaring “yellow” as our week color. Aside from waiting for the sun to show, Yuan’s been watching “The Bee Movie” at least 2 x EVERYDAY.

If you have seen it, then you’ll agree that “HERE COMES THE SUN” was your last song syndrome?  Right?

Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

These are hard to find Imeldific collectibles which I got from Rustan’s way back. I have another design (bracelet) in squared-shaped.  I shouldn’t have sold the earrings, sayang.

Imelda is an icon, that is a fact! Known as the Iron Butterfly.

“She is often remembered for symbols of the extravagance of her husband’s political reign, including her collection of 2,700 pairs of shoes. In 2011, Imelda Marcos has declared her net worth to be 932.8 million pesos (US$22 million), parliamentary records show, as she continues to fight the government over her assets more than two decades after her husband’s reign ended. Imelda is the second-richest Philippine politician behind boxing hero and congressman Manny Pacquiao.”

My Bucket List….

I’ve been wanting to create my “bucket list” but i feel that it needs a lot of thinking  that will sum up for a more “me time”. I have them written on my journal as a draft tho.

I haven’t seen the movie starring my fave Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. I will try to find time next week!

So what should i have on my list? Should I categorize or should i randomly do it. I found several list from other people, some are cool, funny and of course exciting…

If you don’t know where to start then perhaps you can refer to the following questions I got.

  • What if you were to die tomorrow? What would you wish you could do before you die?
  • What have you always wanted to do but have not done yet?
  • What will you do if you have unlimited time, money and resources?
  • Any countries, places or locations you want to visit?
  • What are your biggest goals and dreams?
  • What do you want to see in person?
  • What achievements do you want to have?
  • What experiences do you want to have / feel?
  • Are there any special moments you want to witness?
  • What activities or skills do you want to learn or try out?
  • What are the most important things you can ever do?
  • What would you like to say/do together with other people? People you love? Family? Friends?
  • Are there any specific people you want to meet in person?
  • What do you want to achieve in the different areas: Social, Love, Family, Career, Finance, Health (Your weight, Fitness level), Spiritual?
  • What do you need to do to lead a life of the greatest meaning?

I will be sharing my list as I go by…

Cheer up and make a difference!

No matter what

Whether the day is gray or whether it is sunny, you can make a difference. If others support you or if they conspire to stand in your way, you can make a difference.

If you have plenty of resources available to you or if you have very few, you can make a difference. If momentum is on your side or if it is not, you can make a difference.

You can wait and hope for things to go your way. Or you can get busy and make it happen.

You can complain that life has been terribly unfair. Or you can move ahead anyway and achieve what you intend, no matter what the obstacles may be.

You can plead with others to give you a break. Or you can go ahead and forge your own path to success.

Wherever you may be, whatever may have happened, you can make a positive difference. Live with commitment, decide to move forward no matter what, and you will.

“You are not your bra-size, nor are you the width of your waist, nor are you the slenderness of your calves. You are not your hair color, your skin color, nor are you a shade of lipstick. Your shoe-size is of no consequence. You are not defined by the amount of attention you get from males, females, or any combination thereof. You are not the number of sit-ups you can do, nor are you the number of calories in a day. You are not your mustache. You are not the hair on your legs. You are not a little red dress.

You are no amalgam of these things.

You are the content of your character. You are the ambitions that drive you. You are the goals that you set. You are the things that you laugh at and the words that you say. You are the thoughts you think and the things you wonder. You are beautiful and desirable not for the clique you attend, but for the spark of life within you that compels you to make your life a full and meaningful one.

You are beautiful not for the shape of the vessel, but for the volume of the soul it carries.”

June 2 Question: Should you trust your instincts?

Conceive, Believe and Achieve!

Every morning before i push through with my usual routine, with my coffee, i would read and journal from our Daily Motivator.

Begin and continue

Whether it is a small task or a life-changing project, the strategy for achievement is the same. Begin right away, and then continue for as long as necessary.

Are you worried you might not get it right? If you put your energy into worry, you won’t get anything done at all.

Instead, step confidently up to the task right away, get going on it, and keep going. You’ll know soon enough if you need to adjust your efforts to get precisely the result you intend.

There are plenty of very reasonable excuses for not getting started. But even the most valid, understandable excuses won’t pay the bills or add to the quality of your life.

Instead of entertaining the worthless excuses or poisonous resentments, you can be making the effort. Instead of fretting about the possible obstacles, you can be steadily working your way past the real ones.

The achievement you seek is ready for you to claim it and bring it to life. Begin the effort now, continue as necessary, and that achievement will indeed be yours.
